Dear Colm, I would like to tell you what an incredible inspiration you are to me as a singer, songwriter and musical theatre star. I'm 33 now and I very first saw you in Les Mis when I was about 6 and I fell in love with the show (and your voice). You have the warmest, richest vocal with soaring beautiful tones. I brought my sister to the Lyceum on Monday (it was her 24th birthday) and she was in awe throughout the show. I can't stay was poetic and beautiful. I've been gigging for 12 years now and you are a complete source of inspiration to me, it's because of you (and Ruthie Henshall) that musical theatre lies deep within my heart & soul. If you have any advice for me as a performer I would be so grateful. If you have any signed photos, I think you may just make my decade!!!! I have an enormous respect for your talent and your humble nature xXx

Colm, you rock!! My friend and I have just returned from seeing you at the Lyceum. What a great evening! We enjoyed every song. An added bonus was that we were sitting in front of Trevor Nunn! Thank you for a great night.

First of all I hope you got my letter :)
I just want to say thank you for a Fantastic concert in Edinburgh last Thursday. It truly was the best time of my life! It is such a wonderful, strange feeling when one of your highest dreams comes true. Now my life feels complete :-)
When you sing is like the whole worlds stops and nothing else matters.
Nothing has had more impact on my life then Les MisÚrables; the way I think, how I want to be, who I am, everything I do has it's root in Les MisÚrables.
So I was happy to see that you are just as humble, forgiving, loving, passionate and wise as Jean Valjean, in real life!
Best of luck with the rest of your concerts! It's a shame you're not playing in Sweden, then I would go again and bring my family. But I'm so unbelievable lucky and so immensely happy that I DID get a chance to see you!
I couldn't stop crying I was so moved, so I'm very grateful for your uplifting jokes :-) otherwise I would have been an unstoppable fountain.

Thank you soooooo much for everything!
Best wishes
/Siri Bolin, 20 years old, from Sweden

When Colm Wilkinson sings a cover, you totally forget you have ever heard the original.

When Colm Wilkinson sings a song synonymous with Colm Wilkinson, you forget that the world exists and you reside in the world he creates for you.

From Show Tunes to Pop, Country to Blues, written For to Written By, he took the mob along on a revolution of endearment and wonder.

I have never heard the song Danny Boy before. I've heard it. But I have never actually heard the sentiment and the beauty of this oft-abused masterpiece until tonight. I wept. I was in the grave and could see my loved one above me.

She's Leaving Home had a note in the chorus that made me tilt my head, scratch it as if I was trying to decipher some strange code and when I could find no meaning for its existence, I wept.

A self-penned song called I Cannot Stay held such a meaning for me and the beautiful woman to the left of me that when she gently stroked my arm at the precise moment in the song that I reached for hers, I wept.

Assisted by a pristine collection of musicians, including an idol of mine from my youth, Jimmy Smyth, this night could not have been more perfect. There was even a 15 minute interval to suck a smoke or two in and to grab a strawberry Cornetto.

One of the best nights of my life.
